Children and families

Kids Mode is a supervised, PIN-protected experience set up by a parent or guardian. Children under 13 do not create their own accounts.

How we handle your data

We do not sell personal information

We do not sell or share your personal information for cross-context behavioural advertising, and the app shows no third-party advertising.

Content is reviewed automatically and by people

Prayer requests, discussion replies and other content you post are screened by an automated moderation system and may also be reviewed by a person. See Content Policy.

Age is checked at sign-up

We ask for a birthdate at registration and apply different settings for minors. Parental consent is required for younger teens.

Who processes data for us

Google Firebase (accounts, database, storage, messaging, crash reporting), PostHog (product analytics), and Unsplash (photography). Sign-in is offered through Apple and Google.

Regulations we have assessed against

We have reviewed the app against the federal Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) and against state laws including the California Consumer Privacy Rights Act and AB 2273, Connecticut SB 3, Utah's Social Media Regulation Act, Florida HB 3, Arkansas SB 396 and Louisiana Act 440. Those reviews are published above.

We describe the reviews we have done and the choices we have made; we do not represent that the app satisfies every obligation in every jurisdiction.
